What is Active Mindfulness?


Meditation and mindfulness are great for adults, but kids find them boring. Active Mindfulness combines the power of meditation and mindfulness with visualisation to create a powerful, transformational connection in the brain.

How Active Mindfulness changes the brain:
Calm
Mindfulness techniques train focus and calm which light up a small but very important part of the brain, the Prefrontal cortex.
Creativity
Visualisation tools engage the creative and intuitive right brain, which engage to create a new, empowering internal reality.

I struggled in school and my mental health issues went largely unnoticed because I wasn’t an ‘extreme’ case. I learnt these skills as an adult out of sheer survival - I was sick of feeling tired, anxious and overwhelmed. 

A few years into my teaching career I thought - what if these kids can learn this before they leave school? They won't have to suffer so much. And so my journey creating Adventure Minds began.
